Description
Fluke 721Ex Pressure Calibrator Repair
The Fluke 721Ex is an intrinsically safe dual-sensor pressure calibrator — an ATEX/IECEx-rated version of the 721 that measures pressure (with two internal sensor ranges) and reads the 4–20 mA loop to calibrate pressure transmitters in hazardous (explosive-atmosphere) areas, ideal for gas-custody and process work. Its accuracy depends on the dual pressure sensors, the mA measurement circuit, and the seals, which is where service and calibration focus.
FlukeServiceCenter.com repairs and calibrates the Fluke 721Ex for instrument technicians in oil-and-gas, custody-transfer, and hazardous-area plants.
Common Fluke 721Ex problems we fix
- Pressure-sensor drift — one or both sensor ranges out of spec, recalibrated against standards.
- mA / loop measurement faults — the loop measurement reading wrong, repaired and recalibrated.
- Seal / fitting leaks — leaks preventing stable readings, resealed.
- A function dead — a measurement path failed, repaired.
- Display or battery faults.
Note: intrinsic-safety (Ex) certification integrity depends on factory-approved parts and procedures; tell us if you require the unit returned to its Ex rating and we’ll advise on what that involves.
FAQs
My 721Ex reads pressure wrong — fixable? Yes. Sensor and seal faults are repairable, then both ranges are recalibrated so pressure and loop measurements are accurate, with a NIST-traceable certificate.
Are both sensor ranges verified? Yes — each is checked against our pressure standards.
Every repair includes NIST-traceable calibration and a 90-day parts-and-labor warranty. Email us or request service.
